Learn More About Us
-
Catalyst is an independent, student-driven STEM newsletter dedicated to amplifying student voices and bridging the gap between science education and opportunity.
We started Catalyst after noticing a common issue among our peers: many STEM students have little understanding of the diverse career paths available to them, often feeling boxed into just a few options. We wanted to change that. Through our publication, we spotlight real experiences across science, technology, engineering, and math, from research and internships to career pivots, challenges, and unexpected wins.
-
We’re proud to have the support of our faculty sponsor, Dr. Martin Riu.
We also collaborate with well-known campus organizations to expand our reach and impact. Through student features, alumni and recruiter insights, and leadership opportunities, Catalyst creates a space where every student (from pre-meds to engineers to future tech executives) can find support, share knowledge, and discover new possibilities.
-
Catalyst has built a rapidly growing community of over 200 UCLA members in our organization channels and more than 2,000 peers following our work on social media.
Follow us as we continue to grow Catalyst and empower students to imagine what’s possible in STEM and beyond.
